Real results, real numbers

The most honest test of any SEO consultant is what they've actually achieved for clients, not awards, not traffic counts without context, not ranking screenshots with no attribution. Below are specific results from real clients, with clear explanations of what was done and why it worked.

Half Double Institute: 578% increase in organic clicks

From near-zero organic visibility to ranking for every major term in a specialist project management sector. A full technical audit fixed indexation, page speed, internal linking and structured data; a content programme then built topical authority across the highest-value clusters.

Over twelve months organic clicks rose 578% in Search Console, the site moved from invisible to first-page for the majority of commercially important keywords, and organic became a meaningful lead source for the first time.

The common thread

What these case studies show

Each one starts with a proper diagnosis of the current state, not a generic plan. Each prioritises technical foundations before content. And each measures success by metrics that connect to the business, not traffic or rankings in isolation.

The timelines are honest too. The fastest meaningful result here is around four to six months, for specific technical fixes. The broader strategic programmes take twelve to eighteen months to mature. SEO compounds, but it doesn't happen overnight.

Behind the results

Understanding the methodology

What I share, and don't

Specific numbers only with explicit client permission. Most are referenced anonymously with real metrics visible; a few permit full attribution. I never fabricate case studies or approximate numbers to look better.

The strategy behind each

No single tactic produced these results. Each came from a combination of technical work, content investment and authority building, sequenced in the right order and sustained over time.

How I track progress

Against business outcomes, not vanity metrics: organic clicks, keyword position tracking for commercial terms, and where possible lead or revenue contribution. Rankings are tracked, but they're not the headline.

Questions about case studies

Frequently asked questions

Can you share more details about the clients?

The Half Double case study is fully attributed with permission; the others are anonymised at the client's request but the numbers are accurate. I can connect prospective clients with named references on request, ask during the discovery call.

How long do these results typically take?

Technical fixes can show impact within four to eight weeks. Content takes three to six months to build traction. The broader strategic outcomes here took twelve to eighteen months, honest estimates, not guarantees, and dependent on implementation speed.

Do you work with all types of businesses?

Deepest expertise in B2B SaaS, professional services and ecommerce. I've also worked in financial services, healthcare and tech more broadly. For very different sectors I'm honest about whether I'm the right fit.

What if SEO doesn't work for my business?

SEO doesn't suit every business. I'm honest at the discovery stage, if I don't think it can deliver meaningful results given your market and starting position, I'll say so rather than take your money. And if results stall mid-engagement, I flag it early.

Ready to build your organic channel?

Tell me about your business. I'll give you an honest view of what's achievable and how long it would take.
